Default Our Plan to an improved Alliance system!

Dear Players...

Some time ago we implemented an alliance system, which became popular within short time. Therefore, we decided to expand this system and make a functional and important part of the game out of it.

The first part of alliance upgrade is very close and we are going to bring it into the game in May or early June.

The alliance will continue as it is currently defined in game; union of guilds from one or several servers. After update, guilds will be able to have a full-scale political life, which will develop and empower the most interesting aspect of Fragoria - Social.
Several guilds can make an alliance and of course it needs one certain head to command and lead it and we couldn't think of a better way to choose one then... Elections!

So guild-masters are the Alliance Officers. Each officer can claim for Alliance Master position. If he wins the elections (in which only officers can vote) he takes the place and receives some new functions. For example he can declare a war and regulate taxes. Furthermore, if officers no longer prefer the leader, they can always launch a re-election.

Let's get to one of the most interesting moment here - the war.
Each alliance gets it's own territory which is a separate map with buildings and is unique for every alliance. That's where bank, warehouse and castle are situated, the buildings that alliance needs to develop and protect, while other alliances will try to destroy them. A bit more information on buildings will come in next announcements.
Every Saturday the Alliance Master can take part in special auction for the war. That means that alliance can only participate in one war simultaneously.
You can attack enemies' territory all the week after the war has begun, but keep in mind that buildings will get different damage depending on time. For example, building will get full damage form 6 to 12pm, while from 00 to 11:59 am it will get only 10% of damage.
Why do you need to attack buildings? Because they keep alliance's treasures - like resources, gold and badges - which will become yours if you break the building! And all that with the help of Rams, Springals in attack and Defense Towers in defense...

This is a brief information about our plan and we will reveal much more in next announcements!

Alliance Part II

In today's announcement we would like to tell you more details about the battles for castle grounds.
When we thought over the idea behind these battles, we wanted to achieve several goals.

First, we wanted to have massive epic battles in which players can be involved, and siege equipment (rams and catapults). The most interesting part of the massive battles between large numbers of players is the map – which will be tailored to accommodate these battles. The map is very large (about 50% larger than Fragotown), and has many open spaces along with secret passages. This will allow a variety of tactics.

Second, these battles are not intended to be long campaigns like Idols game. With short and quick objectives, the enemy will be more surprising, and small mobile attack groups will be able to roam the map. Furthermore, this will make plans less predictable. Alliance territories can be attacked during any time of the day, throughout the week. However, attacking during the night will result in more difficulty in defeating the castle, because of lower damage.

This scheme also makes scouting more important – a very well-focused surprise attack can be very detrimental. However, even such an attack will not bring easy victory if the castle is well fortified. Let’s talk more about this point.
As mentioned before, an Alliance will have three main buildings:
Kremlin - the main building, gives participants of the alliance a buff that increases maximum health. Amount of increase will depend on building improvement.
Warehouse - collects resources, available to the Alliance as a tax. Tax is levied from the members of the alliance every resource extraction, and the Grand Duke determines the rate.
Bank - stores gold and signs received as tax from Alliance members.

It is important to note that resources, gold, and signs are all needed to improve buildings, and start new constructions. Since they are stored in buildings, damage done to buildings will results in loss of some treasures, as building health reduces. These treasures can be picked up by attackers.
If the bank, warehouse, and Kremlin are classified as farm buildings, then defensive towers, gates, and walls can be considered protective constructions. Their main task is to help defend alliance buildings! Nobody can pass through walls, and only alliance members can pass through gates. Towers will attack enemy players. These defenses, along with siege equipment, can be improved.


In the next and final part of the announcement, we will discuss taxes, wages, and alliance elections.

Alliance Part III

Alliance – a fighting coalition, or as mentioned in previous announcements, a combined war effort. To finance the war, there are two incomes – taxes and voluntary donations.

Tax is set by the Grand Duke, and consists of several parts – resources, gold, and signs. When a player gets some of it – a portion will be sent as tax to the alliance treasury. And, of course, any player can make a donation for the name of victory. However, nothing is without compensation, so all members of the alliance will receive a daily reward – chest with random prizes. If they stack the days for receiving prizes, they will receive better rewards.

We are still developing other benefits and rewards for alliance members.

Now we need to address two important questions. How do we create an Alliance, and how is the Grand Duke elected? To create alliance, you need a special item – Treaty, which can be purchased from NPC. Only a guild leader can purchase the item, and then proceed to activate it on another guild leader. After the second player agrees to form an alliance, the guilds become friendly and Alliance territory appears. At this point, the life of the alliance has begun. The player with the treaty will immediately become the Grand Duke. After that, members of the alliance will have a new channel – Alliance, which will allow them to communicate with each other regardless of server. Other guilds may join an existing alliance through a special form that contains a list of all game alliances. After the application has been submitted, a vote will take place to elect the Grand Duke. For approval, there must be a unanimous consent of 70% of the Dukes. Through elections, you can also replace Grand Dukes. As already mentioned, Grand Duke retains his title so long he or she has 70% of popular votes.

With this, we conclude our series of announcements related to alliances. Detailed information and guidance on the management of Alliances will be placed in our wiki before the start of these updates.
